Vespr Charge

Terms of Service

Last updated: 1st June 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Vespr Charge mobile app, operated by GridUnlock Limited, company number 16421946 (“Vespr”, “we”, “us”).

By using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. What the app does, and does not do

Vespr Charge lets you start and stop charging sessions at electric vehicle charge points that you have been granted access to, and see information about those sessions.

The app is not a public charging network. You can only use charge points that an operator — an employer, landlord, fleet operator or installer — has given you access to. We do not provide charge points, we do not supply electricity, and we do not control whether a charge point is available.

3. Your account

Your account is normally created for you by your operator. You must:

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, or at the instruction of your operator.

4. Using charge points safely

You are responsible for using charging equipment safely and in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and any rules set by the site owner.

You must not use the app to start a charging session unless your vehicle is correctly connected and it is safe to charge.

Do not use the app while driving.

If a charge point appears damaged, is overheating, or a cable is damaged, do not use it. Report it to your operator using the Support option in the app.

The “release cable” function unlocks a connector. Only use it when it is safe to remove the cable. Do not use it to interrupt a charging session in an emergency — in an emergency, use the charge point’s own emergency stop or isolate the supply.

5. Charging costs

Whether you pay for charging, and how much, is a matter between you and your operator. Vespr does not set those prices.

Where the app shows a cost, it is an estimate based on information provided by your operator and the energy recorded by the charge point. It is not an invoice and may differ from what you are actually billed.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the app available but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features.

Charge point availability depends on hardware, network connectivity and your operator — not on us. A charge point may be offline or unavailable through the app while remaining usable in person, or the reverse.

7. Smart charging

Where your operator has enabled smart charging, sessions may be scheduled to run at particular times, for example to use cheaper off-peak electricity.

You can always override a schedule and charge immediately by starting a session in the app. Doing so may mean you pay a higher rate for that energy.

Charge points may also apply electrical limits set for the safety of the site’s supply. These limits are not overridable, and are separate from any time-based schedule.

8. Data

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. By using the app you acknowledge that your operator receives information about your charging.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its content and the Vespr name and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute it.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

Our total liability to you in connection with the app will not exceed £1 Million GBP.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time, and can request account deletion at https://vespr.cloud/delete-account.

Your operator can withdraw your access to their charge points at any time, which may leave you with an account that has no charge points in it.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
